Skyviewor Data Service Agreement

1. Service and coverage

The current METAR API provides raw and parsed METAR/SPECI observations for the 55 Chinese airports in the supported catalog, through HTTP and WebSocket. Coverage is not all airports in China or worldwide. Surface weather access is not part of this currently documented product.

Catalog references or compatibility with an upstream format are not a statement of ownership of weather observations or proof of commercial redistribution authorization.

2. Accounts and keys

Provide accurate account information and protect your credentials. Each application has an API key. Do not share keys publicly, and rotate exposed keys. Keys may be suspended or revoked for expired access, abuse, fraud or security risks. See how to obtain and store a key.

3. Limits and acceptable use

Unless your order states otherwise, each key supports 2 HTTP requests per second, 3 concurrent WebSocket connections and up to 100 distinct airport codes across WebSocket subscriptions. The 100-airport technical ceiling does not promise 100 or worldwide airports. Additional paid applications provide separate allocations within the supported catalog.

Use the service lawfully. Do not attack infrastructure, evade access controls, resell credentials or misrepresent observations. This is not a substitute for official aviation information or independent validation in safety-critical operations.

4. Purchases and access periods

Catalog base prices are in USD. payment provider confirms transaction currency, taxes and the final amount before payment. payment provider handles payment, tax, invoicing and transaction administration; Skyviewor Data provides API access and technical support. Read payment provider’s buyer terms and our payment guide.

New one-time access is timed from the successful payment’s capture time after verification. Application creation and the first API request do not restart it. Extending unexpired access adds purchased days to its expiry; extending expired access starts from the new payment’s capture time. One-time access expires without automatic billing.

Subscriptions follow the selected billing period recorded by payment provider and renew automatically until canceled. A 30/90/365-day one-time purchase is not the same timing method as a monthly/quarterly/yearly subscription. Verified payment events determine provisioning; returning from checkout alone does not prove active access.

5. Promotional pricing

The launch offer ends on January 20, 2027 at 00:00 UTC. A subscription paid during the offer retains its launch base rate for the same product and billing period while the subscription continues. Withdrawing a scheduled cancellation before it takes effect preserves continuity. Once cancellation takes effect, a new purchase uses the then-current price.

Temporary payment failure does not immediately remove the promotional rate. Access may be suspended after the current three-day payment grace period. Pausing and billing-period changes are not currently offered. One-time purchases do not lock prices for later purchases.

6. Cancellation and refunds

Open Billing, find the subscription, choose “Cancel renewal” and confirm. Ordinary cancellation preserves paid access through the current period and stops future renewals. Deleting an application or revoking a key does not cancel billing. Cancellation is not an automatic refund.

See the refund policy for discretionary 14-day review and applicable rights. If you cannot sign in, use the subscription link in the purchase confirmation email, contact [email protected] or visit [email protected].

7. Availability and data quality

Observations may be delayed, incomplete, corrected or unavailable. This is not aviation dispatch authorization or a guarantee of uninterrupted observations. Maintenance and upstream changes can affect availability or coverage. Report technical issues through Support.

8. Intellectual property and suspension

We retain rights in our software, documentation and branding; you retain rights in your application and content. Access grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service during the access period, not ownership of upstream data or credentials.

We may suspend or terminate access for breach, non-payment, legal requirements, security concerns or abuse. Stopping API use does not cancel a subscription. Payment obligations and rights remain subject to purchase terms and applicable law.

9. Warranties, liability and applicable rights

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided on an “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Skyviewor Data will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses. Nothing excludes a warranty, remedy or liability that cannot legally be excluded or restricts non-waivable consumer rights. payment provider’s transaction terms do not replace the operator’s responsibilities for the API.

10. Privacy and contact

See our privacy policy. Legal questions can be sent to [email protected]. Changes will be reflected here; contact us about the version applicable to your purchase.
